It is said that Kia will assemble and sell the new Carnival in India after the launch, at which point its price may come down. The most luxurious MPV model in India right now is the Toyota Innova Hicross. This MPV is currently priced at Rs 31 lakh. The next luxury MPV is the Toyota Wellfire priced at Rs 1.22 crore. New Kia Carnival Engine:
The Kia Carnival is available overseas with three engine options – 3.5-litre V6 petrol, 1.6-litre petrol hybrid and 2.2-litre diesel. The car was previously sold in India with a 2.2 liter diesel engine. It seems that the same engine is going to be used in the new model as well. Notably, this engine is capable of producing 201hp of power.
Features to be offered in the new Kia Carnival model:
The new Carnival MPV model gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with digital instrument cluster, redesigned AC and audio controls, rotary drive selector, front and rear dash cams, heads up display, digital rear view mirror, updated digital key and ambient lighting. .
The Carnival was previously the only 7-seater MPV sold in India. It is currently sold overseas in three variants namely 7 seater, 9 seater and 11 seater. Which of these will be for India will be known only as the launch approaches.
