Kollam Express : Post-mortem examination of a pregnant Kasthuri who died after falling from a train revealed that she was carrying a 7-month-old baby boy.
Suresh, who works in a private company in Chennai, and Shanmugavel’s daughter Kasthuri from Trishulam area of Chennai got married 8 months ago. Kasthuri is currently 7 months pregnant and left for Suresh’s hometown Sankarankovil last night with her family to hold a baby shower.
Last night, Kasthuri and the family left Chennai by Kollam Express train. While they were coming towards Mambakkam near Vridthachalam, Kasthuri came near the train door to vomit. Then he jumped out of the train and fell out of the running train
Immediately the passengers of the train tried to grab the dangerous chain and pull it. As the safety chain was not working in the coach they were traveling in, they pulled the safety chain in another coach and stopped the train more than 5 km away.
Later, the relatives searched for Kasthuri, who had fallen down the tree, for about 2 hours. Kasthuri, who was seriously injured, was taken to the Vrittachalam Government Hospital by 108 Ambulance. The doctors who examined her there said that Kasthuri, who was 7 months pregnant, had already died.
Later post-mortem was conducted at Virudhachalam Government Hospital. It has been revealed that the deceased pregnant Kasturi had a 7-month-old baby boy in her stomach. Kasthuri’s body was handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem.
Meanwhile, Vridthachalam Kotachier Ahmed has continued his investigation with the relatives of the deceased Kasthuri regarding the details of the accident.
