While postal voting will be held on September 04, 05 and 06, more than 7 lakh voters are reported to be eligible to vote by post.
The Election Commission has reported that 736,589 voters have applied to vote by post for the 2024 presidential election.
Out of which, 24,268 applications have been rejected.
Election Commissioner General Saman Sri Ratnayake said this.
He also said that the ballot papers for postal voting will be sent to the respective institutions on the 26th.
