Although Maruti, the leading car manufacturer in India, sells various models of cars in India, the company has not provided ADAS safety features in any of its car models so far. But for the first time, it has been reported that the company is going to provide ADAS safety features in their Grand Vitara SUV model.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara:
Currently, Maruti is selling their Grand Vitara model in India in four variants and various trims at an ex-showroom price of Rs.10.99 lakh to Rs.19.93 lakh. Despite being marketed as an expensive model, Maruti does not offer ADAS features in this model.
ADAS in Grand Vitara:
Now it has been reported that the company may offer secondary ADAS safety features in their Grand Vitara model. Accordingly, the company is expected to provide safety features including Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning Assist, Rear Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Traffic Signal Detection and Alerts for Vehicle Crossing the Car.

Without these ADAS safety features, the Grand Vitara is currently sold with a range of features. When will this new model be released?
Maruti Suzuki has been planning to offer ADAS safety features in the Grand Vitara since last year. Also, there are reports that the company is testing the Grand Vitara model with ADAS facilities at their Manesar factory. So, we can expect a safe Grand Vitara model with ADAS features in the Indian market by the end of this year.
