Krishnagiri: A 30-year-old woman was beaten to death by her mother-in-law for having an inappropriate relationship with a 19-year-old boy in Krishnagiri.
Alamelu (64) hails from Kaliapperumal Valasai village next to Oodhangarai in Krishnagiri district. His son Yehumalai got married to a woman named Pavitra (30) 3 years ago. They also have a 2-year-old daughter. Meanwhile, Yehumalai used to travel abroad frequently for work. In this case, Pavitra has become acquainted with Manikandan, a 19-year-old college student from the same village.
This habit, which was normal at first, later turned into adultery. Both have been going to the theater and the park. Also, they used to have fun at home when no one was around. Pavitra’s mother-in-law Alumelu came to know about this and called her daughter-in-law to rebuke her.
Enraged by this, Pavitra assaulted her mother-in-law Alamelu and pushed her down. He then strangled him to death. Subsequently, Pavitra took her mother-in-law’s body to the nearby garden and burned it to hide the murder.
Meanwhile, when Alamelu was reported missing, the police who investigated the matter found out that Pavitra had killed him. Subsequently, the police arrested Pavitra and Manikandan, a college student who was allegedly her accomplice.
