Delhi : CBI officials have arrested a Delhi Enforcement Directorate official for accepting bribes in a money laundering case, ANI reported.
A Delhi enforcement officer reportedly tried to get the jeweler’s son out of the investigation in an illegal money laundering case against a private jeweler in Delhi.
A senior CBI official told ANI that he received a bribe of around 20 lakh rupees to be released from the case, and an Enforcement Officer Sandeep Singh Yadav has been arrested in Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar area on the basis of a complaint received by the CBI regarding this incident.
In the name of the complaint received by the CBI, the accused enforcement officer was caught red-handed when he came to the above place and took bribe, and the CBI officers are currently engaged in the process of registering an FIR against the enforcement officer.
