Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate last March in the name of the complaint alleging illegal money transfer in the Delhi liquor policy case.
Delhi Special Court granted bail to Arvind Kejrivil on June 20. The enforcement department immediately approached the High Court and obtained an interim stay on the bail. Later, Delhi High Court denied bail to Arvind Kejriwal yesterday.
Following this, today the CBI, which is investigating the same liquor policy violation case, has arrested the enforcement department. Also, it has sought permission for a 5-day trial from Kejriwal in the Delhi court.’
About these measures Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal posted on her Twitter page, “There is an organization working so that my husband Arvind Kejriwal does not come out of jail.” He has alleged that such an act is said to be dictatorship or emergency.
Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party had said about Kejriwal’s arrest that the BJP had panicked after knowing that Arvind Kejriwal would get bail and had him arrested by the CBI.
