Again Sivdas Meena IAS…good news from the fort…but a problem!

In Tamil Nadu in 2021, when the DMK government took charge under the leadership of Chief Minister M.K.Stalin, Thaoyanpu IAS was appointed as the Chief Secretary. After his retirement, Shivdas Meena became the new Chief Secretary in June 2023. It has been working well for more than a year. It is said that the chief secretary gives more importance to official work.

Chief Secretary Shivdas Meena IAS

But since Sivdas Meena took charge, he has given more importance to field work. He also met the mediapersons and gave an explanation about the activities of the government from time to time. It got a lot of attention. Though hailing from Rajasthan state, he was selected as IAS in 1989 batch in Tamilnadu cadre. Since 1991, he has held various responsibilities in various districts.

Retired soon

He has been working as an officer in Tamil Nadu for more than 30 years. Thus he learned to speak Tamil as clearly as possible. Meanwhile, Sivdas Meena will turn 60 in the next few months. So it can be said that the day of retirement is near. Who is the new Chief Secretary in this context? The question arises. Less than two years are left for the end of DMK rule in Tamil Nadu.

M. K. Stalin’s advice

Can we choose a new one by then? No, can Sivdas continue with Meena? Chief Minister M.K.Stalin is advising that. While inquiring about this in the Fort area, Shivdas Meena IAS was included in the Chief Minister’s good book. He has successively scored for dealing with government administration, predicting the moves of Chief Minister M. K. Stalin and being prepared accordingly.

Scheme to provide work extension

Therefore, M.K.Stalin is of the opinion that even if he retires, he can be given an extension. This matter is said to have taken Sivdas Meena by surprise. It seems that they are ready to work with a generous acceptance if they are given an extension of work which is not the case in any other projects so far.
