An increase in the number of devotees in the Annamalaiyar temple… Actor Dhanush Samy’s darshan!

Thousands of devotees visit the Tiruvannamalai Annamalaiyar temple every day, and on the full moon and special days, devotees perform girivalam and have darshan of Lord Shiva. In this case, on Sunday, about 45,000 devotees waited in line for more than four hours to have darshan of Lord Shiva.

Increase in the number of devotees

Also, the number of devotees visiting Tiruvannamalai Annamalaiyar Temple is increasing every day, while the devotees used to go for grivalam only on full moon days, now devotees are performing grivalam on all days.

Special Abhishekam and Deeparathan

The walk was opened at 4 o’clock in the last two days when the Annamalaiyar temple was thronged with devotees. Special Abhishekam and Deeparathan were performed to Swami from early morning and devotees were allowed to have darshan from 5 am to 8:30 pm.

A meeting of not less than four hours

From early in the morning there was a public darshan queue and 50 fee paying queue of people waiting to have darshan of Sami, for four hours the number of devotees did not decrease, people were waiting in a long line to have darshan past the Rajagopuram till the outer prakaram.

Kubera Linga Shrine

Devotees were offered ladtu prasadam, followed by the Pilliyar temple located next to the Kubera Linga shrine, hence the name Iduku Pilliyar as the entrance to the shrine is very narrow.

Increase in attendance of Sivanadiyars

At Iduku Pilliyar Temple too, more than a thousand devotees gathered and waited in a long queue to enter and exit through the small entrance gate to have darshan. As Shivanadiyars arrive at Thiruvannamalai, all arrangements are being made on behalf of the temple administration for the convenience of the devotees. Also, actor Dhanush Samy had darshan at the Annamalaiyar temple and devotees flocked to take selfies on seeing him.
