A felicitation ceremony was held for Indian athlete Manu Bakar, who won 2 bronze medals in shooting at the Paris Olympics, on behalf of the Chennai Private Educational Institute. India’s Manu Pakar won bronze medals in women’s singles and mixed doubles in the 10m air pistol event at the Paris Olympics.

It was a very proud moment for me. I expected to win a silver medal, but I got bronze. I missed the silver medal by a tiny margin. However, he said that it was a pleasure to win bronze for India in the Olympics.
When asked how did you manage both academics and sports, I said that I did not give up both academics and sports. You have to balance your studies and sports. My parents keep track of my academic performance through my mark card. He said that they gave importance to education and sports.
When asked by a student how did you get interested in shooting sports, I got interested in shooting during my school days. He got a chance to make it to the national shooting team right from his school days.
Following the request of the student, Manu Bhakar sang the Hindi song Dheka tenu pheli pheli bar ve and then danced to the Hindi song Kala Chesma.
Speaking on the stage among the students, Manu Bakar said that if you work hard, you can achieve big things, and by dreaming big, you can achieve big goals. We must not give up even in failure. I started participating in competitions during my school days. We need support first at home and then at school, which I got.
In general there is a lot of job opportunities, Dr. Engineer is not the only course, there are many job opportunities beyond that. There is a job opportunity especially in the sports sector, those who want to travel around the world should choose the sports sector, I have traveled half the world.
Never be ashamed of our background, it doesn’t matter where we come from, I don’t speak English, I didn’t know many things, then I learned, they taught me. I was very nervous and lacked confidence when I participated in the Tokyo Olympics. At one point I had to leave it behind and win, he said that I was able to win only because of many failures.
Speaking to the media after the event, Indian player Manu Pakkar said to the reporters what is the reason for your success, only one person cannot be responsible for my success. The contribution of my family, Coach Paul, Sports Development Authority of India and many others was the biggest reason for our country to win a medal. He replied that there is still a long journey of many years.
When asked by reporters what do you think about India lagging behind other countries in events like Olympics, yes many countries are ahead of us. We will all be hopeful of lifting the medal tally. Other countries have one, they make children go forward in the field of sports at a young age. He said that such a program should be started in our country as well, that would be the best.
Continuing to talk about the safety of women, Manu Pakar said that if we talk about women, women form 50 percent of the population of our country. Fundamental rights are based on freedom. Everyone should work together to improve society for women. It must be the duty of every person. We all need to work together to create change in society. He replied that we are on the path of progress.
Also talking about Vinesh, Manu Bhakar said, “He is like an older sister to me, I have a lot of respect for him and he is older than me. I have always seen him as a fighter. He is worthy of overcoming all difficulties. I have also seen him recover. He said that he will continue to progress.
Finally to the question about the next steps of Manubhagar, I want to take a break now, I have decided to take a three month break to reduce the burden on my shoulders. He said that after 4 or 5 months I will start my work again.
