The World Cup T20 series co-hosted by the USA and the West Indies started with a bang on the 2nd. Bangladesh and Netherlands played a multi-test in the 27th match of the league last night (India time). Bangladesh team led by Najmul Hasan Santo and Netherlands team led by Scott Edward. The match was played at Arnaz Vale Stadium in West Indies.
Netherlands captain Scott Edwards won the toss and chose to bowl first. Following this, the Bangladeshi team batted first. Openers Thansid Hasan were dismissed for 35 runs and Najmul Hasan Santo for 1 run. Saqib Hal Hasan, who came in next to bowl Liton Das for 1 run, played the opposite side and scored 64 runs. In the end the team scored 159 runs for the loss of 5 wickets at the end of 20 overs.
Then the Dutch team played the second batting with a target of 160 runs to win. Openers Michael Leavitt were dismissed for 18 runs and Max Oddout for 12 runs. Vikramajit Singh, who came in next, was dismissed for 26 runs and his friend Angel Prajit was dismissed for 33 runs. In the end the team scored 134 runs with the loss of 8 wickets at the end of 20 overs. Then Bangladesh won by 25 runs. Shakib Hal Hasan was selected as the man of the match for Bangladesh.
