AI technology cameras

Since then accidents are being controlled through various controls and monitoring facilities. As part of this, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has decided to install ANPR cameras with artificial intelligence (AI) features on the Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway. ANPR stands for Automatic Number Plate Recognition Camera. With this new facility, accident causing vehicle numbers can be identified and appropriate action can be taken.

One camera for a distance of 2 km

It can also detect and warn of speeding vehicles. The Bangalore to Mysore expressway is 118 kilometers long. It has been decided to install one ANPR cameras every 10 km. After that they brought some changes. Accordingly, one ANPR camera will be installed every 2 km along the entire distance.

Intensive monitoring facility

These have been tendered to private companies and the fitting work is going on through them. Now the tender is over and the installation of ANPR cameras is in full swing. These AI cameras will not only identify speeding vehicles but also prevent prohibited vehicles from entering the expressway. Because two-wheelers and three-wheelers are banned on Bengaluru-Mysore Expressway.

Warning to motorists

Apart from this it will also record things like using a mobile phone while driving, not wearing a seat belt and wrongly entering a one way road. These will be forwarded to Traffic Management Centers. After that a case will be registered under the Motor Vehicle Act 1988 and the drivers involved will be punished.
