BMW has launched the facelifted version of the M4 Competition model in India. The new BMW M4 Competition facelift has been unveiled with minor cosmetic updates on the exterior, a completely redesigned interior, an updated powertrain and a slightly higher price tag.
BMW M4 Competition Facelift: Exterior and Interior Design Changes
As mentioned above, there are minor changes to the exterior. The M4 facelift mainly gets new headlamps and tail lamps. It gets new 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear wheels with classy blue brake calipers. A carbon fiber roof has been used to reduce the car’s weight and lower the center of gravity.
The interior gets M leather steering wheel with 3 spokes and flat bottom. A 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster are new inside. Also, carbon fiber interior has been heavily used. Ventilated seats come as standard.
BMW M4 Competition Facelift: Engine
Based on performance, this model gets an updated twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six petrol engine. This engine is capable of producing 530hp of power and 650Nm of torque. Power alone has increased by 20hp over the previous model.
The engine of this car is mated to an 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The M4 Competition with an all-wheel drive setup accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds.
BMW M4 Competition Facelift: Price
The BMW M4 Competition facelift has been launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.53 crore, taking on the likes of the Audi RS5 Sportback and the upcoming Mercedes-AMG C 63, which are already on sale in India. It is worth noting that this is Rs. 5 lakh more than the previous model.
