Weather Update: There is a chance of rain in Kanyakumari and Nellai districts from today till May 1.
An atmospheric low circulation is prevailing over South Tamil Nadu and adjoining areas.
Due to this, from today till the 1st, light rain may occur at one or two places in Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli districts, and dry weather may prevail in other districts of Tamil Nadu, Puduwai and Karaikal, according to the Chennai Meteorological Department.
Light rain may occur at one or two places in Western Ghats districts on May 2. Other districts of Tamil Nadu, Puduwai and Karaikal are expected to experience dry weather.
Humidity
Humidity is likely to be 30-50% in the afternoon over plains in interior districts of Tamil Nadu, 40-75% at other times and 50-80% in coastal areas.

The sky will remain partly cloudy for the next 48 hours. The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 37-38°C, while the minimum temperature is likely to hover around 28-29°C.
