Earlier, Minister Thangam Tennarasu explained why the Tamil Nadu government was attending the tea party of the Governor.
“On behalf of the government, we have accepted the invitation of the honorable governor and we have decided to attend the party. We participate in that party. Explanations about the positions of the Governor have been given from time to time through the Ministers. Political opinions are different; The position of the government is different.
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam has different views on the issues on which the Governor’s ideology may depend. But the Chief Minister has great respect for the position and responsibility of Governor. Therefore, the position of the government is that in order to respect his position and responsibility, our ministers participate in the tea party that he may have invited in this Independence Day ceremony by accepting the invitation given by the governor.
Honorable Governorship is an Institution. Our Chief Minister always gives due respect to that Institution. He never fails to deliver. Therefore, based on those principles, we accept the Governor’s invitation and participate in it,” Minister Thangam Tennarasu said.
