Purnima (age 41) hails from Vengikal, Tiruvannamalai. He lodged a complaint at the Thiruvannamalai District Superintendent of Police office on 18th.

In that petition, she said that she was already married in Coimbatore and got a legal divorce, and after that, Lakshmikandan from Kudiatham area asked her to marry me, so the marriage took place in February 2016 in Kalasapakkam in the presence of elders.

He took me to Chennai saying that he was a film director and was already producing a film.

They said that they moved to Chennai and settled in a house, and then my husband used to talk to many women on the phone.

He told me that if I asked who was talking on the phone at night, he would beat me up, and after being in Chennai for 5 years, he would bring me to Tiruvannamalai and drop me at my parents’ house, saying that he would buy a house in Tiruvannamalai.

Now I heard that my husband is talking to another woman and when I inquired it was revealed that my husband is having a family with another woman.

When I asked him about this, he abused me and attacked me. And as if he cheated on me, he has married five women by claiming to be a film director. He said that he has filed a complaint at Thiruvannamalai All Women Police Station that he should take proper action against my husband only after he came to know.

He alleged that he was cheating by saying that he was a film director and introduced actor Atharva and Samantha to act in the film in the first place.

Thiruvannamalai District Superintendent of Police Karthikeyan ordered the Thiruvannamalai all-women police to investigate the matter. Following this, the all-women police led by Thiruvannamalai City Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravichandran called the complainant Poornima and her husband Lakshmikandan in person and conducted an investigation.

There was a bit of a stir in Tiruvannamalai after the news that the police had interrogated a person who had cheated by claiming to be a film director.
