Controversy in the campaign…Congress complains to the Election Commission against Prime Minister Modi!

Congress complaint: The Congress party has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission against Prime Minister Modi’s divisive hate speech.

India’s seven-phase Lok Sabha elections begin on April 19 and end on June 1. The second phase of elections will be held on April 26 in 102 Lok Sabha constituencies across 21 states.

All the party leaders are actively campaigning. In that regard, during the campaign speech held yesterday in the state of Rajasthan, he referred to Muslims as “infiltrators”. The opposition parties are strongly condemning this.

Speaking in this regard, Prime Minister Modi said in the campaign that the property of the Hindus will be given to the Muslims by giving false information that the Congress government said that the Muslims are the first authority in the country’s property, and if the Congress party comes to power, it has sparked controversy.

In this case, the opposition parties made accusations that the Election Commission is ignoring Prime Minister Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah and other BJP members who have been talking about religion in the election campaign.

In his speech, Modi said the Congress had “promised to confiscate and redistribute the property of Indians and has reneged on it” in its manifesto. Thus, the Congress has filed a complaint in the Election Commission demanding action against Prime Minister Modi for speaking to spread hatred.

However, the Election Commission did not comment on this. While the Congress has complained about Prime Minister Modi’s divisive speech in its petition, the Election Commission has responded to the question of the journalists with “No Comments”.

Also, it is noteworthy that social activists and citizens are complaining to the Election Commission through e-mail against this speech of Prime Minister Modi.
