From the family of music composer AR Rahman, his son AR Amin entered the music industry and has been singing film songs and independent album songs. In the same line, AR Raghuman’s daughter Khadija Raghuman has sung in some films including Ponni’s Selvan 2. In this situation, Khadija has made her debut as a music composer in the film ‘Minmini’ directed by director Haleetha Sameem.
The music launch of the film was held today in Chennai.
Director Haleetha Sameem, music director Khadija Raghuman, director Nithilan and others participated in this program.
Speaking on the program, Khadija Rahman said,
I can’t believe this is happening. thank you very much. Haleetha madam approached me in 2022. I was not ready then. I thought the film would have been completed and released by then. After that when I met him he liked my work. Then he went to someone else. I said do whatever you like. He said he will work with you. I wouldn’t say that working with them was difficult. 8 months went well. Totally moulted me.
Just tell me you are in the film and I will support you. The director was clear about what he wanted. It was easy for me.
First he gave the trailer cut. Then I got scared and told my husband that I can’t do it. He said please don’t leave wait. All the friends in the studio said that we are also there and you do it. I said that I will take my time and do it for those eight months. Haleedah also gave me time.
In this eight month I have taken the director to bed. I asked him how did you believe me and what did you see in me. One way the background music ended. But the mind is blank again. Haleedah said do whatever comes in your mind. I got an amazing team.
When it was announced that I was composing music, many people asked me why I gave him a chance. It bothered me a lot. Then I thought I should give credit to my director.
Everyone says this movie is a feel good movie but this is not such a movie. They make you think that this is a love story movie which is not true. Support if you like the songs. Don’t talk too badly on social media, he said.
