It has been alleged that many wrong questions were asked in all subjects in the recruitment examination for the post of graduate teachers for the year 2023.
The appointment examination for the posts of Graduate Teacher and Regional Resource Center Teacher for the year 2023-2024 was held on 4th February. A total of 41,478 candidates had applied to write the examination conducted by the Teacher Examination Board. More than 40 thousand people wrote this exam.
The results of the examination were published on the website of the Teacher Examination Board on May 18 and 22. Along with the marks of the candidates who wrote the examination, the qualifying marks based on the years of qualifying for the Teacher Eligibility Test Paper 2 (TET Paper 2) were added. On the basis of aggregate marks, the list is prepared for certificate verification in the ratio of 1:1.25.
In this situation, there is an allegation that various questions are wrongly asked in the competitive examination for the posts of graduate teachers for the year 2023. Out of a total of 150 questions, examinees said that between 5 and 17 questions were wrongly asked depending on each subject.
Subject wise, 6 questions were asked incorrectly in Tamil. Similarly, 13 questions were asked incorrectly in the English subject. 17 questions were wrongly asked in Maths.
7 questions were wrongly asked in Physics. 12 questions are wrong out of the questions asked from Chemistry. 3 questions from Zoology are wrongly asked. 11 questions from Geography subject are wrongly asked. 13 questions from History subject have been asked incorrectly.
Following this, there has been a demand that the Teacher Examination Board should give appropriate grace marks to the candidates who answered the questions incorrectly. Even a couple of questions can be taken as inattention. But the examinees expressed their anguish that many questions were asked wrongly in each examination which shows the negligence of the teachers examination board. Therefore, they have demanded that the Teacher Examination Board conduct a re-examination immediately.
Meanwhile, the examinees have alleged that there are 2 mistakes in the final answer sheet issued by the Teacher Examination Board.
Candidates who cleared the 2013 teacher qualification examination, wrote the examination after 11 years, and the irregularities have caused a stir.
