(Al Quran 23:2).
A primary cause of conflict among humans is conflict. A promise made to one involves the honor of the votary and the life of the votary.
Voting fraud depends on the type of trust fraud. It is widely observed that one makes a promise at the time to make something happen and when his work is done, he easily forgets his promise. The problem erupts when querying for such assurance. But questions asked after a person’s death include broken promises.
In particular, the borrower has a duty to repay as well as to fulfill the promise he made to others.
When the Prophet (PBUH) died, Abu Bakr (RA) received (some) wealth from Alaa Ibn Halrami (RA). Then Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) looked at the people there and said, ‘If the Prophet (peace be upon him) owes a debt to anyone, or if anyone has been promised anything, let him come to us. (We will fulfill his right) they said. (Source: Buhari)
This makes it clear how important it is to fulfill the promise. At the same time, Islam mentions that non-fulfillment of promises is fraud and those who do not fulfill promises are hypocrites.
Once the Prophet (peace be upon him) said about the hypocrites, ‘If you speak, you will lie, if you promise, you will do wrong, and if you believe, you will do evil’. (Source: Buhari)
At the same time, the Prophet (peace be upon him) also mentioned that the promise is more important than participating in the war. Hudaiba bin Alyaman (RA) mentioned that the Prophet (PBUH) said:
‘The reason why I did not take part in the battle of Badr was that I and my father Husayl (Alyaman) set out (for Badr). Then the Quraish apostates caught hold of us. ‘Do you seek Muhammad (to fight against us)?’ They asked.
We said, ‘(not) heading towards Madinah’. Then Qureshiar said, ‘We must return to Madinah. They took an oath from Allah and took a promise from us that they should not fight (against the Quraysh) along with the Messenger of Allah (PBUH).
After that we both went to Madinah and told the Prophet (SAW) what had happened. Then they said, ‘You two go back (to Madinah). We will support them and fulfill their promise. They said, ‘Let us seek help from Allah against them.’

Meanwhile, the Prophet (peace be upon him) severely criticized those who did not participate in the war. But in this case, if a comrade was told not to go to war because of a promise, we should realize the importance of the promise. And that is a promise to an apostate. So, in today’s era, many promises given not only to the believers but also to the brothers of other religions are being blown away.
And various promises are made to the workers for employment but most of them are not fulfilled. It has become commonplace to threaten those who ask about their promises with their physical strength, human strength, financial strength, military strength, influence, etc.
Betrayal of trust also happens by adding partners in companies and then deceiving the partners without their knowledge. Expats make false promises. Their false promises make many people’s lives questionable. The family is in trouble. They forget to consider that a false promise can lead to the destruction of a family.
But Islam gives more importance to promise fulfillment. It is the responsibility of every believer to act with this in mind.
