Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) invites applications for third batch of Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electronic Systems course. This four-year course has multiple exits and students can earn a Foundation Level Certificate, Diploma or B.S. JEE Main or JEE Advanced scores are not required for admission in this course.
Applications for May 2024 are open until 26 May. Interested candidates can apply through the following link – study.iitm.ac.in/es.
More than 1,000 students are currently pursuing the course, which will begin in March 2023, an IIT Madras statement said.
According to IIT Madras, the main objective of the program is to create a pool of skilled graduates in the field of electronics and embedded manufacturing in India. The course is aligned with the India Semiconductor Mission to make India a global hub for electronics manufacturing and design.
Highlighting the highlights of the course, Bobby George, Professor, IIT Madras and Faculty Coordinator of the BS Electronic Systems course said, “The course combines online learning of theory with lab experiences and hands-on exams.
This innovative approach marks a significant milestone in access to high-quality education for anyone interested in studying from this program and underscores IIT Madras’ commitment to providing cutting-edge and effective learning opportunities,” said.
Students can also experiment with various laboratory courses required for this course. The program design for labs consists of two parts, where students perform experiments on a weekly basis and submit videos explaining their work. This culminates in students retaking the tests and completing the exams by visiting the IIT Madras campus in person, IIT Madras said.
