Kia has introduced new color options for the HTE variant of the Seltos compact SUV model. The Kia Seltos in India is sold in nine variants namely HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX+(S), GTX+, X-Line(S) and X-Line. The base HTE variant was sold in only two colors – White and Sparkling Silver.
Meanwhile, Kia has given five new color options to the base HTE variant as well. Along with the aforementioned White and Silver, Kia has given the HTE variant five new color options – Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, Gravity Grey, Intense Red and Aurora Black Pearl.
It is worth noting that among these five colors, Pewter Olive color was earlier offered only on the top-end variants. Also, all these color choices are single tone only. Dual-tone color options are available on the Seldos on GTX+ and above variants.
The base HTE variant of the Seltos is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that churns out 113hp of power and 144Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and delivers a mileage of around 17 kmpl.
Apart from this, the base HTE variant features a 4.2 color TFT driver’s display, halogen headlamps, six airbags, TPMS (Tire pressure monitoring system), hill assist and ESC (Electronic Stability Control). In the compact SUV segment of the Indian automobile market, the Kia Seltos is priced between Rs 10.90 lakh and Rs 20.35 lakh, competing with the likes of Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
