P Chidambaram Thirunelveli: KPK Jayakumar Thanasingh (age 60) from Karaisuthu Budur near Vektianvilai was the president of Nellai East District Congress Party.
He, who was also engaged in the business of contractor, was mysteriously found dead in the garden behind his house on the morning of the 4th with his hands and feet tied and his body charred.
10 special teams have been set up under the supervision of Nellai district SB Silambarasan to investigate this incident which has created a lot of excitement all over Tamil Nadu. The police have seized the letters written by Jayakumar Thanasingh before his death and are investigating the persons mentioned in them.
Jayakumar Thanasingh’s family members, domestic workers and supporters were also questioned. Did Jayakumar Thanasingh die? To confirm this, the bones taken from his body have been sent to Madurai for genetic testing.
