Chennai: While it is raining in many places in Tamil Nadu, the Chennai Meteorological Department has informed that 14 districts of Tamil Nadu will be hit by rain at 10 pm tonight. Also, orange alert has been issued for 5 districts.
The summer heat that has been burning in Tamil Nadu for the last 2 months seems to have taken a few days off, rain has fallen here and there and has made people happy. The temperature, which was soaring to 105, 110, has now started to drop below 100 degrees.
Meanwhile, the districts of Thenkasi, Nellai, Thoothukudi, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Ramanathapuram and other districts adjacent to the Western Ghats have been receiving good rain for the past few days.
The Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Kanyakumari and other districts are also experiencing widespread rain. In this case, heavy rain will fall in 14 districts from 10 pm today, according to the Meteorological Department. According to the Meteorological Department, 14 districts including Madurai, Sivagangai, Theni, Dindigul, Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Tenkasi will receive heavy rain.
At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Nellai, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari and Virudhunagar districts of heavy rain with thunder and lightning.
