Pa. Ranjith called and praised Nanguneri student Chinnathurai in person.

Nanguneri student Chinnathurai, who was subjected to caste brutality and continued to study and got the best marks in the 12th standard general examination, was personally praised by director Pa. Ranjith.

Chinnathurai, a school student from Nanguneri in Tirunelveli district, was attacked and hacked with a sickle by his fellow students last year. Certain students have behaved in caste discrimination with Chinnathurai and attacked them on caste basis. After this, due to caste violence, the students attacked Chinnathurai with a sickle after entering the house.

He was seriously injured and was being treated at the hospital. This created a great stir throughout Tamil Nadu. The police registered a case regarding the incident and arrested those who attacked Chinnathurai.

In this case, Chinnathurai had written the 12th class public examination. When the results of the exams were announced, he passed the general exam with 469 out of 600 marks. Chief Minister Stalin, School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh and many others met and congratulated Chinnathurai, who continued to study and pass the examination despite being subjected to caste violence.

In this case, the director and founder of Neelam Cultural Center Pa. Ranjith called the student Chinnathurai and praised him. Ranjith congratulated him by dressing him with a shawl and gifting him with books.

Continuing, Pa. Ranjith assured that the Neelam Cultural Center is ready to do whatever the college fees and assistance may be. Ranjith gifted Chinnadurai and his younger sister with the book “Complete Abolition of Caste”.
