Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is imprisoned in Tihar Jail, has requested the judge to allow him to wear a belt.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was remanded in CBI custody for 3 days on Wednesday in the liquor policy case. Delhi’s Rose Avenue Court granted permission to try Kejriwal. The court also accepted his request for certain privileges while in custody.
While in custody, Kejriwal will be allowed to keep his glasses, take prescribed medicines, eat home-cooked meals, keep a copy of the Bhagavad Gita and meet his wife and relatives for an hour every day.
The chief minister also requested that he be given a belt as he was humiliated by having to hold his pants while going to Tihar Jail.
Realizing this embarrassment, the court accepted the request to relax the rule and allowed it.
