Actor Dhanush took the avatar of a director through the 2017 film Power Bondi. Actor Dhanush, who has established himself as an actor, has made a mark not only in South Indian languages ​​but also in Bollywood and Hollywood. Apart from acting, he is now focusing more on directing. His first film in that genre was Power Bondi. In this, he will play the lead role along with Rajkiran and Prashanth. The film was well received.

Following this, Dhanush acted in Tiruchirambalam, Vathi and Captain Miller. Currently, he has directed and acted in his 50th film Raayan. The film is produced by Sun Pictures. Along with Dhanush, Kalidas Jayaram, Sandeep Kishan, SJ Surya, Prakash Raj, Tushara Vijayan and Aparna Balamurali are playing the lead roles in the film. AR Rahman is composing the music for the film.

The shooting of the film has been completed and the background work is going on in full swing. So far two songs have been released from the film.
