Royal Enfield Gorilla 450 leaked pre-launch photos

Royal Enfield had announced at the end of last month that it is going to release a new bike named Gorilla 450 on the 17th of this month. Now the spy photos of the bike are leaked on the internet. These photos were taken while using the Gorilla 450 for a TV commercial.

Companies usually don’t use a bike in public without a cover before releasing it. But now they have taken photos secretly while using it for advertisement. The photos are now going viral on the internet.

In the above photo you can see two Gorilla 450 bikes being driven. One is a dual tone combination of gold and red and the other is a single tone shade of blue. We can see the Gorilla logo on the side panel of one of the bikes and the Royal Enfield logo on the fuel tank.

The Gold colored Gorilla model pictured above has the same TFT display as the Himalayan 450. The single-tone colored model gets a semi-digital instrument cluster and a circular tripper navigation pad. The instrument cluster setup is similar to the one on the Super Meteor 650. So it seems that this Gorilla 450 will be released in different variants and at different prices.

The Gorilla 450 is powered by the same 452cc, single cylinder engine as the Himalayan 450. Also, we can see in the spy shots that the same exhaust canister used in the Himalayan 450 is used in the Gorilla 450. Along with this, we can get to know from the above spy image that the features of 17 inch wheels, tires with black pattern, telescopic front suspension setup and single piece seat are used in the Gorilla 450 model.

While the Gorilla 450 is powered by the same engine as the Himalayan 450, the tuning is expected to differ. The engine in the Himalayan 450 is capable of producing 40hp of power and 40Nm of torque. But, the Gorilla 450’s engine power and torque are expected to be different. Royal Enfield will place this new bike below the Himalayan 450. It is noteworthy that this bike is expected to be released at a price of more than Rs. 2.30 lakh.
