Maharashtra: A fragment of a human finger was found lying in an ice cream in Malat area of Pune district. A DNA report obtained by the police revealed that it belonged to an employee of Yummo, an ice cream manufacturing company.
The shocking incident came to light last June 12 when MBBS doctor Brandon Serrao of Malat found a piece of human finger in an ice cream cone ordered online. Following this, following the doctor’s complaint, a case was registered against the officials of Yummo Ice Cream.
Following this, a team from the Malat police station went to the ice cream factory in Indapur and investigated and found that one of the employees there had had his finger amputated.
Yes, it has been learned that the employee, identified as 24-year-old Omkar Bhot from Pune, lost his fingertip while filling ice cream cones at the Fortune Milk factory in Indapur, Pune district on May 11.
At this stage, his DNA and blood samples were collected and the human finger found in the ice cream cone was sent to a laboratory to be tested to see if the finger was his. In it, the fingerprint on the ice cream and the employee’s DNA matched. In this case, the finger fragment found in the ice cream was confirmed to belong to the employee.
