Smriti Irani: Smriti Irani, a BJP candidate who contested in Uttar Pradesh’s Amethi constituency, was defeated by securing around 2,79,067 votes in the Lok Sabha elections.
His opponent, Congress candidate Kishore Lal, secured 3,97,538 votes and won by a margin of 1,18,471 votes.
