Dhanush, who is multi-talented as an actor, director, producer and singer, directed the film Rayan under the production of Sunpictures. While Dhanush is playing the lead role in this film, which is his 50th film, Prakash Raj, SJ Surya, Aparna Balamurali, Sandeep Kishan, Dushara Vijayan Kalidas Jayaram and others have acted.
The film, composed by AR Rahman, was released on July 26 amid great anticipation. It has been reported that Rayan’s film, which has been receiving mixed reviews since the first day of its release, is on the right track at the box office. Accordingly, in the statement released by Sacnilk, the collection of Raayan increased by 0.73 percent yesterday and collected Rs 13.75 crore.
With this, the film’s total domestic collection rose to Rs 27.4 crore in two days of its release. The film grossed more than its Tamil version. It collected Rs 23.85 crore from the Tamil version, Rs 3.1 crore from the Telugu version and Rs 0.45 crore from the Hindi version out of a total domestic collection of Rs 27.4 crore. This film is struggling hard to attract Hindi fans.
Prabhas starrer Kalki AD 2898 is running in Hindi and Telugu, so Rayan faces stiff competition. Despite being in its fifth week, Prabhas’ film continues to dominate the box office, collecting Rs 2.9 crore on Saturday and totaling Rs 628 crore till date in India.
Ryan crossed 60.85 percent of viewers overall on Saturday. The night scenes were the most aggressive. It had an overall Telugu occupancy of 26.12 percent on Saturday.
