Arvind Kejriwal: Insulin injection given to Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar Jail.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested in a liquor policy violation case and has been lodged in Tihar Jail.
The Aam Aadmi Party alleged that his blood sugar level increased to 320 in jail, even though he was already suffering from diabetes. It is said that after this he was given two point low dose insulin injections to control his sugar level.
It is reported that on the recommendation of an AIIMS doctor, he was given a dose by a medical practitioner in Tihar, following which the chief minister’s sugar level is under control.
It is said that on April 20, AIIMS experts, speaking through video conference, advised the Tihar jail doctors that ‘if the sugar level exceeds a certain level, they can give him insulin’.
