Tamil Nadu Government Stand In Manjolai workers Manjolai issue: Krishnaswamy leaves to meet Stalin

New Tamil Nadu Party President Krishnasamy said in Madurai that the Tamil Nadu government should not show mercy to the mancholai workers and should give them relief as per law.

In this regard, he met the reporters and said, “6 cases have been filed in the Madras High Court session regarding mancholai. Since 1929, the workers have been living with mancholai as their native. More than 600 families have lost their livelihood. These workers do not know any work other than tea plantation work.

According to the Forest Rights Act, 2006, the workers have the right to live in Manjolai, the information heard by the court is different and the information given by the Tamil Nadu government to the court is different. Mancholai workers are being forcibly evicted by the police.

The court is not satisfied with the relief notices given by the Tamil Nadu government. In the Mancholai case, we have involved the tribal department of the central government. The Tamil Nadu government should not show mercy to the mancholi workers, they should give relief as per law.

No one is willing to give jobs to mancholai workers. I don’t know why the Tamil Nadu government is behaving mercilessly in the matter of mancholai workers. I don’t agree with Don Tea company taking over mancholai tea plantation. The mancholi workers themselves should be allowed to take over the mancholi tea plantation.

Why is the Tamil Nadu government reluctant to talk to the mancholai workers? The Tamil Nadu government should listen to the opinions of the workers of Mancholai, 1,141 crore rupees tax is outstanding by the PPTC company, they should not be allowed to take the goods of the PPTC company from Mancholai, they did not allocate time to meet the Prime Minister on the Mancholai issue.
