Delhi: TMC MP Mahua Moitra has criticized PM Modi in the Lok Sabha for not only using the word Manipur in the M line during the election campaign.
Members of the Lok Sabha are addressing the resolution of thanks to the President’s speech in the Lok Sabha session today. Speaking then, Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra made various criticisms of the ruling BJP government.
When he spoke, no one was allowed to speak about what happened last time. They wanted to suppress me. That is why they lost 63 MPs. People have silenced the BJP. Last time there were 303 BJP MPs now reduced to 240.
Many people have looked at me in the past year and said you have lost a lot. Yes I lost my post. I lost my house. I lost my uterus during surgery. But as Rahul Gandhi said, I have lost my fear and gained freedom. The president was brought with a scepter like never before in history. What monarch is this? Why scepter in a democratic country? said Mahua Moitra sternly.
Speaking further, Moitra also criticized the Prime Minister. Referring to the Prime Minister, Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra criticized that Prime Minister Modi used all the M-series words Musalman, Mulla, Madrasa, Mutton during the election campaign but the only M-series word he did not use was Manipur.
