Tragedy at Kanchipuram:
The boy, who was engaged in wood-cutting work along with his father in a lightning strike near Kanchipuram, was admitted to the Kanchipuram Government Hospital with a broken leg and is undergoing intensive treatment.
Ravi hails from Vembakkam taluka of Tiruvannamalai district. He belongs to the Irular tribe and earns by doing work such as wood cutting and fishing. He has a daughter and a son named Ishwar.
Logging with family:
In this situation, Ravi has been staying with his family in Kolivakkam area of Kanchipuram district in the land owned by Senthil and has been working on cutting wood for the past two weeks.
Meanwhile, Ravi, son Ishwar, and his younger sister were in the tarp shed where they were staying when there was heavy rain with thunder and lightning in Kanchipuram and its surrounding areas during the afternoon work.
Boy injured in lightning strike:
The thunderbolt that fell on Ishwar’s leg shattered his leg and severely injured Ishwar.
Following this, Iswaramurthy was sent to Kanchipuram Government General Hospital by 108 ambulance and is undergoing intensive treatment.
