Andhra Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who is on a tour of Kuppam constituency on June 25, has announced that a new barrage will be constructed in Balarat while speaking at the thanksgiving meeting held there. This means that a new barrage will be constructed across the river at Madhavappalli and Yadav School. He said that steps will be taken to make Kuppam railway station a major junction for going to Bangalore and Chennai and new job opportunities will be created for the educated youth.
