MG Windsor EV:
MG calls this new electric car a CUV. CUV stands for Crossover Utility Vehicle. Windsor EV looks like a hatchback of a crossover and SUV model. This electric car is being sold in some countries including Indonesia under the name Cloud EV.
New Teaser Video:
MG Motor is going to launch this electric car in India soon. Therefore, it is constantly releasing teaser videos about this new car. In a teaser video released by the company recently, it has introduced a feature that will be offered in the car.
Although it looks a bit long like a car with three rows of seats, the new electric car is actually a 5 seater electric car.
But MG is going to use that extra length for the luxury of travel. Yes, the company has designed the second-row seats to allow rear passengers to stretch their legs and recline luxuriously.
In the teaser video released by the company, the rear seat is reclining up to 135 degrees. Also, we can see in the teaser that the leg room for the rear seat passengers is also generous.
Windsor EV Battery:
No information about the battery and electric motor of this new electric car has been released yet. The Cloud EV sold overseas uses two battery options, 37.9kWh and 50.6kWh, and a PMS electric motor capable of producing 134hp.
MG Motor has announced that it will procure the battery and electric motor for the Windsor EV to be launched in India from Indian suppliers. So, it seems that the above battery sizes may change without any.
Price, Release and Competitors:
MG Motor is planning to launch this new electric car under the price of Rs.20 lakh. The MG Windsor EV will compete with the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV 400 and the newly launched Tata Curve EV, which are already sold under Rs 20 lakh.
Also, we can expect the launch of this electric car by the end of September.
