Wayanad Landslide: Civilians gave a tearful farewell to the army!

The people clapped their hands and gave a tearful farewell to the soldiers who left after completing the Wayanad rescue mission.

Mundakai, Suralmalai and Meppadi villages were buried in the soil in the landslide that occurred on July 30 in Wayanad, Kerala. Following this, the army, paramilitary forces, navy, national and state disaster rescue forces and state police have been engaged in rescue operations for the past 9 days. More than 400 people were killed in this terrible landslide.

Especially the temporary bridge set up by the army played a major role in the rescue operations and carrying the bodies of the victims. Similarly, a large number of sniffer dogs made a great contribution in searching for the bodies of those buried in the soil. In this case, it decided to send back a large part of the soldiers involved in the rescue work. Following this, the soldiers who were staying in Meppadi area in Wayanad left.

Then a large number of people gathered on both sides of the road and clapped their hands to bid farewell. Kerala Minister Riaz also honored the army officers by presenting mementos. The soldiers said that even if they leave here, they will leave their hearts with the people of Wayanad.
