After 77 years of our country’s independence, our own laws have come into force. First of all I would like to thank our people for this. A lot of words have been changed. There will be no further delay in the investigation. The new criminal laws have made provision for speedy justice. Earlier only the rights of the police were protected. Henceforth, the rights of victims and complainants will also be protected.
Three new laws have come into force since midnight. Bharatiya Niyaya Sanhita replaced IPC, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita replaced CRPC and Bharatiya Sakshiya Atinyam replaced IEA.
