11 seater ‘Carnival’ MPV priced at Rs 60 lakh.. Would you buy it.. What plans does Kia have?

Kia is rumored to launch the updated Carnival MPV in India in October. BS6 Phase II norms came into force in April last year. After that, Kia stopped selling the Carnival model that was sold at that time.

Now the Kia Carnival is going to be launched in October with an upgraded engine as per the new norms. Kia had showcased this model at last year’s Auto Expo under the name KA4. What facilities will be provided in the newly released Carnival? At what price will it be released? Bye.

New Kia Carnival Launch:

The Kia Carnival model was sold assembled in India till now. However, Kia plans to launch and sell the new Carnival model as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) model. So, the car is expected to be launched at a very high price when it is released.

There are reports that dealers are saying that the new Carnival may be released at a price of Rs 50 lakh or even Rs 60 lakh due to high import duty. It is said that Kia will assemble and sell the new Carnival in India after the launch, at which point its price may come down. Kia Carnival was previously sold in India at a price of up to Rs 37 lakh.

The most luxurious MPV model in India right now is the Toyota Innova Hicross. This MPV is currently priced at Rs 31 lakh. The next luxury MPV is the Toyota Wellfire priced at Rs 1.22 crore. The only good choice in between is the Kia Carnival. So, it is worth noting that no matter what price Kia launches the new Carnival, it has no direct competitors.

New Kia Carnival Engine:

The Kia Carnival is available overseas with three engine options – 3.5-litre V6 petrol, 1.6-litre petrol hybrid and 2.2-litre diesel. The car was previously sold in India with a 2.2 liter diesel engine. It seems that the same engine is going to be used in the new model as well. Notably, this engine is capable of producing 201hp of power.

Features to be offered in the new Kia Carnival model:

The new Carnival MPV model gets a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with digital instrument cluster, redesigned AC and audio controls, rotary drive selector, front and rear dash cams, heads up display, digital rear view mirror, updated digital key and ambient lighting. .

The Carnival was previously the only 7-seater MPV sold in India. It is currently sold overseas in three variants namely 7 seater, 9 seater and 11 seater. Which of these will be for India will be known only as the launch approaches.

New Kia Carnival: When will deliveries start?

Kia will launch this newly updated MPV in October. After that, it seems that the delivery may start by the end of October or November. However, it is reported that Kia plans to start deliveries before Diwali.

Following this Kia Carnival, Kia is also planning to launch the EV9 model, a full-size electric SUV, in India this year.
