Election2024 : Voting is taking place today in 89 constituencies in 13 states for the 2nd phase of the Lok Sabha elections.
Lok Sabha elections for a total of 543 Lok Sabha constituencies in India started last week on April 19. Polling for the 2nd phase of the election will be held from 7 am today (April 26) in a total of 7 phases.
Elections for 102 constituencies in 21 states including 39 constituencies in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry constituency have been completed in the first phase of the election, today the election for 89 constituencies in 13 states is going to be held.
In the neighboring state of Kerala, the elections are to be held in a single phase for a total of 20 constituencies. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is contesting from the Wayanad constituency in Kerala, just like the last 2019 election. In addition, Congress MP Sasitharur in Thiruvananthapuram, actor Suresh Gopi on behalf of BJP in Thrissur, Communist Party of India National General Secretary T. Raja’s wife Annie Raja in Kerala Wayanad are fielding as star candidates.

Assam – 5 modulesthe election for 5 constituencies has been completed in the preliminary election out of total 14.
Bihar – 5 modulesthe election for 4 constituencies has been completed in the first phase of the total 40 constituencies.
Chhattisgarh – 3 modules, Out of the total 11 constituencies, the election has been completed for 1 constituency in the preliminary elections.
Karnataka – 14 modules, Total modules are 28 modules.
Madhya Pradesh – 7 constituenciesthe election for 6 constituencies has been completed in the first phase of the total 29 constituencies.
Maharashtra – 8 modules, Out of the total 48 constituencies, the preliminary election has been completed for 5 constituencies.
Manipur – In total 2 constituencies, the election is going to be held in other areas except the area where the preliminary voting has been completed.
Rajasthan – 13 blocks, Out of the total 25 constituencies, the preliminary election has been completed for 12 constituencies.
Tripura – 1 block, Out of the total 2 constituencies in the preliminary elections, 1 constituency has been completed.
Uttar Pradesh – 8 volumes, Out of a total of 80 constituencies, the preliminary elections have been completed for 8 constituencies.
West Bengal – 3 modulesthe election for 3 constituencies has been completed in the preliminary election out of total 42.
Jammu and Kashmir – 1 block, Out of the total 5 constituencies, the election has been completed in the first phase of the election.
