Heavy to very heavy rain will occur in the hills of Nilgiris and Coimbatore districts tomorrow, according to the Chennai Meteorological Department.
According to a press release issued by the Chennai Meteorological Department, a tropical cyclone is prevailing over the coastal areas of Kerala. Due to this, it has been reported that heavy rain is likely to occur in 17 districts of Coimbatore district hills, Nilgiris, Tirupur, Theni, Dindigul, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Erode, Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Tirupattur, Vellore, Iranipet, Tiruvannamalai.
It has been reported that heavy to very heavy rains will occur in the hilly areas of Nilgiris and Coimbatore districts tomorrow and heavy rains will occur in 12 districts namely Tirupur, Theni, Dindigul, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal and Karur. Similarly, heavy to very heavy rain will occur in 4 districts of Coimbatore district hills, Nilgiris, Tirupur and Theni and heavy to very heavy rain in 13 districts of Dindigul, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Erode, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Tirupattur, Vellore, Iranippet, Thiruvannamalai, Salem and Kallakurichi tomorrow. It is said to be possible.
It has been reported that there is a possibility of heavy rain in 9 districts of Coimbatore district hills, Nilgiris, Tirupur, Theni, Erode, Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri and Tirupattur on 18th.
