3rd day of treatment for female elephant in Coimbatore: Forest department searching for baby elephant

Two days ago, a 40-year-old female elephant was found dead in the Marudamalai forest area under the Coimbatore forest department. A 3-month-old baby elephant was seen nearby and was not separated from its mother. The forest department officials and the medical team led by Veterinarian Dr. Sukumar continued to examine and treat the elephant.

In this case, following the improvement in the health of the female elephant, grass was fed to the elephant. While the baby elephant was coming around the mother and showing affection, an old woman living nearby thought the elephant was a Sami and worshiped it with camphor. This video footage of old lady worshiping is going viral on social media.

Today, the female elephant is being treated continuously for the third day. In this case, the cub has separated from the mother elephant. The forest department is searching for the baby elephant with a drone
