9,995 posts in village banks; degree qualification; Apply now!

The Institute of Bank Personnel Selection (IBPS) has issued a notification for the recruitment of officers including Clerk and Assistant Manager in Regional Rural Banks (RRB) across the country. A total of 9,995 vacancies are to be filled across India.

Candidates applying for the vacancies of a particular state must have proficiency in the local language of that state or union territory. That means being able to speak, write and read that language.

Educational Qualification:

Graduation from a recognized university is required for clerical posts. Must know local language. Should know how to operate computer.

For Deputy Manager posts, graduation from a recognized university is required. Must know local language. Should know how to operate computer.

For other officer posts, graduation or post-graduation courses in their respective disciplines are required.

Age Qualification:

Candidate for Clerk Posts should be between 18 to 28 years as on 01.06.2024.

For Assistant Manager posts applicant should be between 18 to 30 years as on 01.06.2024.

For other officer posts applicant should be between 21 to 32 years as on 01.06.2024.

Age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST category, 3 years for OBC category and 10 years for PWD category.

Selection Process:

There are only two examinations for the clerk posts namely the first examination and the main examination. There is no interview for this.

There will be a three-stage selection process for Deputy Manager posts namely Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and Interview.

The selection process for other officer posts will be a single online test followed by an interview.

All the exams will be conducted as online exams only. There is no written test.

Primary Examination:

The preliminary examination for the posts of Clerk and Assistant Manager will be held for 80 marks. There will be a total of 80 questions with 40 questions each from Reasoning ability and Numerical ability. Duration of this exam is 45 minutes only. The preliminary examination is only the qualifying examination. Candidates who qualify the preliminary examination will be called for the main examination. These preliminary examinations are scheduled to be held in the coming month of August.

Main Exam:

The main examination for Clerk and Deputy Manager posts will be held for 200 marks. It will have a total of 200 questions on English, Aptitude and Mathematics and General/ Financial Awareness. The duration of this exam is 2 hours. Job will be available based on the marks obtained in this exam. These main exams are scheduled to be held in the month of September.

Candidates who qualify the main examination for clerk posts will be called for certificate verification. Then the final merit list will be published and the vacancies will be filled.

At the same time, the final list will be published after the interview for Deputy Manager posts.

Other officers will be called for interview after only one online test for the posts. Then the shortlist will be released.

Application fee

The application fee for this is Rs.850 for General category, OBC and EWS category. 175 for SC/ST, PWD, XS, DXS categories.
