Ferrato, the premium electric bike brand of Japanese electric bike manufacturer Okaya Electric, has now launched their first bike, the Disruptor. Ferrato plans to start delivery of this new electric bike within the next 90 days in major cities like Chennai, Delhi, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Pune and Bengaluru in the first phase.
Ferato Disruptor: Electric Motor, Battery and Range
Ferato has used a 6.4kW PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) electric motor in this new electric bike. This motor is capable of producing a maximum torque of 228Nm and an average torque of 45Nm helping the Disruptor to reach a top speed of 95 kmph.
Also, Ferrato has used a standard 3.97kWh battery in this new electric bike. With the help of this battery, which charges from 0-100% in 5 hours, the company has stated that it can travel up to 129 km on a single charge.
Ferato Disruptor: Facilities
This electric bike has three riding modes namely Eco, City and Sport. These riding modes can be changed through the switchgear provided on the handlebar. Also, this new electric bike is equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity with geo-fencing facility.
The Disruptor comes with 17-inch alloy wheels. Also, it gets a telescopic fork suspension setup at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear. With these features, the new Ferrato Disruptor has been launched in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.60 lakh.
Ferrato: Plans for India
After this electric bike, Okaya EV plans to launch another electric bike and a premium electric scooter in India under the Ferrato brand. Also, apart from their existing network in India, Okaya is planning to set up an exclusive network for the Ferato brand. Accordingly, the company plans to open more than 100 Ferato dealerships across India in three phases.
