Chennai: Governor R.N. to file a case against Tamil Nadu BJP leader Annamalai. The Tamil Nadu Governor’s House has explained that Ravi has not given permission.
Annamalai had spoken last year citing an incident where Muthuramalinga Devar warned former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Annadurai at a program held in Madurai in 1956. When the DMK protested against this, Annamalai had said that there were news about it in the newspapers of that period.
However, the media houses said that they did not publish any such news. Subsequently, social activist Piyush Manush filed a case against Annamalai in Salem court. The court heard this and ordered that the permission of the Tamil Nadu government should be sought to file a case against Annamalai as the case has been registered in the sections that cause conflict between two communities.
Subsequently, the Tamil Nadu government gave permission to register a case against Annamalai. In the order issued by the government in this regard, it was mentioned that this order was issued with the order of the governor. So the media also reported that the Governor had given permission to file a case against Annamalai.
In this case, the Governor’s House of Tamil Nadu has explained that the Governor has not given permission to register a case against Annamalai. In a statement issued by the Governor’s House in this regard, “For the last 2 days, the public has been questioning the Governor’s House regarding the news circulating in the media that the Tamil Nadu Governor has given permission to file a criminal case against BJP State President Annamalai.
The Tamil Nadu Governor’s House is not aware of any information regarding the case against Annamalai. Also, in this regard, It is hereby informed that no sanction order has been issued,” it said.
