2 female DIGs from Tamil Nadu Police Department have been transferred to Central Government. Accordingly, Ramya Bharti, who is working as DIG Cargo, Madurai, has been transferred to the Central Aviation Security Division.
Ponni, who is the DIG of Kanchipuram Cargo Police, has been transferred to the Central Industrial Security Force. The Union Home Ministry has issued an order to this effect. The Tamil Nadu government has also approved this order.
Generally, once a person is selected for Indian government job, he can be given responsibilities in two places. Either under the responsibility of the Central Government or under the responsibility of the State Government.
