Share Market | Sensex | Nifty | Indian stock markets ended yesterday’s Monday session higher. The Nifty 50 index closed up 48 points at 22,104, while the BSE Sensex closed up 111 points at 72,776.
Bank Nifty index rose 333 points to settle at 47,754 points. Notably, the money market volume on the NSE increased to Rs 0.98 lakh crore.
While the small-cap index ended marginally lower and the advance-decline ratio fell to 0.70:1, the overall market recovered on a positive signal.
In this situation, the stock markets were seen higher today. The BSE Sensex was up 341 points or 0.47% at 73,116.71, while the NSE Nifty 50 was up 119 points or 0.54% at 22,222.60.
The Nifty Midcap 100 closed in the green by 512 points, or 1.03%, at 50,247.60. The Bank Nifty was seen up 120 points or 0.25% at 47,874.10.
Stock status
Adani Enterprises, M&M, Hero MotoCorp, L&T, and JSW Steel were the top gainers in the Nifty 50.
Among the Nifty-50, Cipla, TCS, Nestlé India, Tata Consumer Products and Axis Bank were the major laggards.
