Officials of the Central Revenue Investigation Division today (May 14) seized 13 kg of gold that was trying to be smuggled by boat from Sri Lanka to Pudukottai district. Officials have informed that its value will be Rs 10 crore.
Central Revenue Intelligence Department officials have received information that gold smuggling is going on from Sri Lanka to Tamil Nadu by sea.
In the name of information, 13 kg of gold worth Rs 10 crore was seized during the raid conducted by Central Revenue Intelligence Department officials in Pudukottai. There are also reports that 5 people have been arrested in connection with this.
