Chennai : A young man died after jumping from a height of 100 feet into the Quarry Lake while trying to do reels.
An 18-year-old boy drowned in Jharkhand’s Sahibganj district after jumping from a height into deep water for an Instagram reel. Tauseeb, an 18-year-old youth, jumped from a height of 100 feet into the water below and decided to record it as a video and publish it on social media.
So, last Monday evening, he jumped into the quarry lake from a height of about 100 feet. His friends who were in the neighborhood also took a video of it. Then, as soon as he fell into the water and began to swim, he slowly began to sink. So the young man died due to suffocation.
Seeing this, his friends who were bathing in the lake tried to save him. But, they could not save him and immediately informed the police and started a search. Later his body was recovered.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar Kushwaha, who recovered the body, said, “The young man drowned after jumping into the water several feet deep and unable to control himself. The incident of the death of a youth who jumped from a height of 100 feet into the Quarry Lake while trying to make reels has caused grief in the area.
